Wonderful and Rare Russian Doll called Old Man Khottabych, very popular among Russian Children in 1960s.
This one is in excellent vintage condition, 13.5" tall, hard plastic hands, head and feet, all original. The old man has cloth body, hand painted very nice face. This is a very Rare doll, great for a collector.
Old Khottabych (Russian: Старик Хоттабыч, Starik Khottabych) is a fantasy comedy film produced in the USSR by Lenfilm in 1956 based on a children's book of the same name by Lazar Lagin. In the USA, the book was published under the title The Flying Carpet. The film is also known as Starik Khottabych (Soviet original title) and Old Man Khottabych. Great for Google & Mercari searches.
