Vintage handmade Mexican folk art copper wall hanging mask, depicting a bat figure, possibly 'guardian of the underworld'. From Guerrero, Mexico. This piece is often referred to as a jaguar cat mask, but research suggests a bat representation. Origin and exact date are unknown, possibly dating to the mid-20th century or earlier.
Measures approximately 7" high (excluding chain), 7.5" wide, and 3.25" deep. In great vintage condition, as shown in images. Sold as-is, untested. Perfect for collectors of Mexican folk art.
